Hai-Cheng Lu won the Best Presenter Award in Neurobiology and received the National Scholarship at the Tsinghua “Life, Medicine, and Pharmacy” PhD Forum.

From September 26 to 27, 2025, the Annual Academic and Development Seminar of the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University, and the 18th “Life Sciences, Medicine, and Pharmacy” PhD Academic Forum at Tsinghua University successfully concluded at the International Exchange Center of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. Professor Cai-Xia Gao from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to attend the opening ceremony. Over a hundred faculty members from the School of Life Sciences, the School of Basic Medical Sciences, the School of Clinical Medicine, the School of Pharmacy, the Vanke School of Public Health and Health, the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Automation, and nearly two hundred student representatives participated in this high-level academic exchange event. Five faculty members presented academic lectures, while 64 PhD students delivered oral presentations, and 28 academic posters were exhibited.

In addition to the main venue, this year’s forum set up five sub-forums, covering the following five major fields: “Biophysics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology,” “Cell Biology, Development, Genetics, Stem Cells, Physiology, Disease Microbiology, and Immunology,” “Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Computational Biology, and Interdisciplinary Studies,” “Neurobiology,” and “Botany.” Furthermore, the closing ceremony was livestreamed online, attracting a cumulative viewership of 10,000, further expanding the forum’s influence both within and outside the university.
